Machine Crossbow
This is a continuation on the crossbow theme. The previous version was based on the traditional idea of what a crossbow could do, albeit in a fantasy style. It could only fire one shoot at a time and required the standard, slow reloading technique. I wanted to explore further and mix the modern notions of machine guns but still set it in the medieval era. So some sketches featuring levers, handcranks, flywheels and crossbow-bolt magazines...

Since I have such a bias in my portfolio toward the sci-fi end of concept, I've decide to work on a couple of Fantasy / Historic items to add a bit of variety. First up is a crossbow design, so I've produced a number of quick sketches to get an idea of the subject. I quite like the heraldic feel of 2b so I'll be working that one up and posting it soon.
